I am going to try to root some clematis cuttings (specifically Clematis armandii, or something similar). I have seen recommendations to dip the cuttings in fungicide before applying rooting hormone to avoid diseases such as Botrytis (grey mold), and also recommendations to use a periodic fungicide spray.
My question: What kind of fungicide should I buy for this purpose?
Many thanks.
best fungicide for rooting cuttings
I'd check your bottle of rooting hormone first, many of them come with an antifungal agent in them already.
I think I just have a powder (probably rootone). I need to buy something fresh --
Thanks, Chantell; that thread is very helpful but doesn't (unless I missed it) deal with fungicide. I understand clematis cuttings are prone to it, so I want to be prepared. But I don't know what to look for in the store.
