CLOSED: What are these semi-transparent spheres are on our grapes?

Vallejo, CA(Zone 9b)

I'm not sure what these tiny semi-transparent spheres are on our grapes. At first, I thought it was some tiny water droplets, but they seem hard when I touched them. They are only in one section of the vine that is about 5 feet off the ground. As for location, our garden is located in the Northern San Francisco Bay Area.

Anyone know what these are?

Found this link discussing the same (or at least a really similar problem) that says the balls may just be sap... http://www.ubcbotanicalgarden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7070&highlight=eggs

What type of plant is that? The spheres look like slug eggs or some kind of eggs.

They do look like slug eggs, but I don't think they would be off the ground like the picture in question. It would be too dry for them. If you squish a slug egg, you can tell it's a slug egg. Li'l spheroids o' slime.

It is probably just sap exuded from the high root pressure in the spring. I've cut grape stems in the spring and the sap gushes out due the high root pressure this time of year.

They look like aphid eggs to me.

Pretty sure all aphids are born alive as nymphs.

It is sap. Grape vines exude sap at the joints and along the stems before the stems become woody.
