Very nice Amy!!
Spring Blooms - Part 4
Up early. Jo Ann
Depends on what shift I'm working! this day, I'm heading to bed soon.
Since you east coast folks are up, you'll be the first guinea's of my new camera. I have no idea what I'm doing yet and the photoediting stuff didn't upload right since I chose to not buy a computer that was compatable with the camera. But it's working all right. Keep in mind it's quite dark and raining (yeah, not snowing) outside so there wasn't really much going on to practice with. However, one of my cat's is up and loves to play with stuff sprawled on the floor. Hopefully I'll get some practice at a yard that I'm working on tomorrow (today that is).

ok.... note to self, must resize the pictures smaller next time!
Great hyacinths. I'm jealous, mine died (the flowers anyhow) in the weather before they fully opened.
So, something garden related and I have no light outside, so my first crack at a night shot (in many, many, years anyhow)

I hope to be able to take night pictures like yours nane! Kitty is definitely "ready to go", I was holding something she wanted! Her begging is soo cute that I've not bothered to try to correct it. I wish I could post a video. She sits up, puts her paws up and together, and then sort of claps then together several times, stops for a few seconds to see what she gets, and then repeats the process. Needless to say, she gets most of what she wants since it's very hard to ignore that!
Onewish... great pic of you "honey hair"!!! shhhhh...... we'll never say a word!

Victor-I need more land, or more shade...I want all of those JM's!!! I really like 'Koto no Ito' A LOT.
I wish there was a trick to get my hyacinths to come up and not look retarded. I mean that word not in an offensive way, but in a growth pattern way. Sometimes the hyacinths will bloom one side of their stem, or half way up, or at the top and not in the middle...or the whole stem comes up with like 5-10 flowers on it. Does anyone else have this happen?
It's the reason I try not to take pictures of them, they make me feel ashamed...lol.
Those tulips are a lovely color!!
Those are a beautiful color Celeste.
crossed, heehee!
Great minds think alike! heehee
Wonderful pics. Night shots are great, doggie, kitty, honey hair and hyacinths also great. Love the tulip color too.
I love the intensity of color in that viola!! Hundreds of those around the yard would be great.
Hemhostaholic - Here is a picture of a wisteria I've been trying to grow as a tree for about 9 years now. They get heavy so I would recommend better support. I plan to either put either one 4 by 4 for support or three if I can make a perfect triangle and support the branches as apposed to the trunk. Can't really tell by this pic. It is about 9 ft. tall and needs constant trimming. One downside is it japanese beetles LOVE it. I nuke these guys a couple times a week in season, too much lawn damage to be eco friendly.
Bill your Cornell Azalea is beautiful!!
Also love the azalea Bill. Pretty hyacinths too.
Redchic what is the colorful ground covers name? Very pretty, your cat has a great view.
Pixie-Exactly what I meant! I might take some pics of mine...lol...and further show ya what I mean. Funny thing...the Hyacinths I planted at my mothers house should not look as good as they do. Working at the nursing home, all of the residents usually get flower baskets/bulb baskets, or the churches will send them hyacinths...after they bloom, I would go around, clean the pots, and take the bulbs home...Every last bulb at my mothers home, except for the species tulips, were from the nursing home baskets...and the hyacinths all look picture perfect!
The hyacinths I have are from Brent and Becky's, or from the box stores...they all look goofy...I might get 1 good looking one a year.
Wha-It's definitely a labor of love! We gardeners do some crazy things, but it's all for the plants greater good. I started out with bamboo steaks, and up to this piece of 1"x2" material, I figure I'll just keep moving up as the JW grows. Someone suggesting using rebar...but, not sure if I want something that will potentially rust near the roots of a plant. I'll probaly stick with 2x4, then 4x4, and, possibly before I'm dead, 6x6!
Great pics everyone!!!
Yum - bamboo steaks. Can you grill them..?
