This one has an incredible star and spoke pattern I have never seen before, unfortunately it lack color and is just a subtle pink...

Imagine this one with some more colour!

Here a blue ensign, they come from a French seed packet offered at the local market. Still, absolutely stunning. I saw a whole group of different blues yesterday against the white wall in the sun and wished I had had my camera then...

Martin - Love the pattern on those pink natives! Very, very attractive. What are they growing in? Sand? Clay? They must be pretty hardy!!

Aschaffenburg, Germany

Yes, they are pretty hardy but then it doesn't get that cold here in winter 5 degrees Celsius at the most. I haven't noticed that they die back in the Moroccan winter, they just stop flowering, but they may also seed and reseed themselves all the time...

I'll try to get a better close-up of the pink ones today. Problem here is one cannot take photos w/o being disturbed or being watched...I am never at ease...

As far as soil is concerned pretty much hard water-retentive clay.

It is difficult to get a good image of soft pink flowers in bright sun. Morning light is best, I have found. Maybe you can get out before the people you wish to avoid wake up? How is Q751 doing?

Good idea Joseph, I may have one Q571, but it could also be the Jishi...I can't tell from the cotyledons...It's definitely dwarfed.

Camera has a slight focussing problem, too.

Unfortunately, the pink ones have been dug under and picked out as weeds...

This drives me crazy in this country...you should see when they pick orange flowers -- still amazing that some are not found so the trees end up producing oranges -- the kids are now getting into the mulberry tree and tearing off all branches to get a few unripe mulberries. The tree will look slaughtered and wrecked in the end, amazing it hasn't give up hope to live...
