I went out today and found these ALL OVER my rose bush......every single bud, the stems, the leaves......everything..........
what are these and can I get rid of them? Or should I cut the rose bush down and let it start over? It is still chilly here, in the 50's til this weekend, so I wouldn't have thought that the bugs would be this prominant yet!!!!!

good grief, don't cut it down! those are just aphids. you can use your hose to wash them off or mix a little alcohol and water spray and spray them.

yes, mix one part alcohol to three parts water in a spray bottle and just spray them. aphids just come with roses and as a rule they don't do too much damage although some folks would disagree with that. they pretty much give up when it gets really hot. they do love spring-as we all do!
