Chicks are hatching! *again!

Woodsville, NH

Too bad you edited your original posts. You did say hatcheries cull all chicks with vaulted skulls, yours died after a day and a half and mine wouldn't survive. I have a great memory especially when someone was telling me that vaulted skull chicks should be culled. It is not a RARE defect it occurs quite often in silkies, you are the one that needs to relax and do some reading about them. I have two chicks and one adult with a vaulted skull plus others that got the other silkies I hatched have them and so far no one has emailed about their chicks dropping dead from a vaulted skull. And if all it takes to run someone off this board is not agreeing with everything they write you obviously think you know more about chickens than everyone else.

Your right, I did say that the hatchery i contacted about the defect said they cull the ones like yours and mine. They DID NOT say they culled vaulted skull chicks. And i never said you should cull yours, vaulted or deformed, and i never would. And YES i said mine died within a few days. I was only telling you that it was a possibility and i DID NOT say that it would happen to yours. You AGAIN are predicting what I might think. NO, I dont think i know more about chickens than ANYONE on this board. Why do you insist on creating something where there is NOTHING. If i knew so much, i would not need to be on a chicken forum to learn. You are making me feel like we are in grade school and that is not what i signed up for. I have no idea why you are treating me this way, but i wish you all the best with your hatching.
