Hi, all! In your experience, is there any such thing as a miniature buddleia? I ordered (haven't received yet) a Buddleia nanhoensis 'Petite Purple' from Bluestone, advertised as 2' tall. Other web sites list this as anywhere from 4'-6' tall. I can prune it back, but I really wanted it for a specific spot in a front yard flower bed (tallest plant is around 3') against the house. Or it can always be planted somewhere else, I always have room for more butterfly bushes! :)
I am dying to see the new Lo & Behold series, first out is 'Blue Chip' at 20" tall (Wayside is the only place advertising it for sale and I have heard too much negative feedback about them to order from them.) Has anyone ordered one or seen it? Hopefully they will become available elsewhere next year.

Thanks!

Miniature Buddleia?
Update: Well, my Petite Purple is in the ground (for about a week now) and is still tiny, so we'll see just how big it gets. It's planted in front of/next to a post (former flag pole) to shade a newly planted clematis.
Thanks!
Nicole
You'll have to post some pics when it blooms! They respond well to pruning so hopefully you'll be able to keep it close to the size you want. I haven't seen the tiny one from Wayside yet, but I'm with you on waiting to see if someone else starts to carry it eventually. I'm not sure how long their exclusive deal will last with the grower though, hopefully only a year or two!
