How you all prepairing for the possible frost Mon/Tues?

Lexington, SC(Zone 8a)

Same here, we didn't take chances and covered up again, just not quite as layered. These wedges of cold air are very strange. Looking at the temperature map via NOAA, it'll be warmer in parts of Kentucky tonight than it will be here. In fact, it seems some areas south of us will actually be colder than we are. Very odd weather system these High Pressure systems interacting with the mountains. At least the Low approaching from the west will nudge it further away tomorrow and allow us to get back to normal temps around here.

Sumter, SC(Zone 8a)

I was thrilled to see my Musa Basjoo made it thru without my covering it...temp this am at 6 was 37 on the therm outside the back door, Whitmire had frost, we did not - the clematis that are blooming did awsome with a sheet or pine straw covering, I credit this to all the trees surrounding the house and gardens.....at work they pulled in everything but the trees last nite....the Hydrangeas which are coming along awesome right now where just put up under a tin roof building we have and none of them looked like they got burnt at all...I'd say we were very very lucky and that the strange micro climates of our area helped out immensely......

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

besides the crinums, hedys, and hostas that lost some leaves, it wasn't too bad. anthyrium pictums actually looked the worst, all the leaves were toast but one on each plant..lol

saddest thing was one of my arums had just bloomed and the frost deflated it

I think we're done with the freezing now. The next few days show nighttime temps getting gradually warmer, but most tropicals won't be up until May-June anyway
