I'm thinking of running some of my morning glories along my chain link fence. The dogs have their own chain linked area & I wanted to put the morning glories on the 'outside' of the chain link. It's about 160 feet. I think it would be ample space & look very nice when done & then blooming! Question! Are the morning glory blooms or seeds harmful to dogs? Becky, Jackie, Ronnie, anyone? Thanks for the seeds (you know who you are!) & I hope you can offer your expert advice - as I don't need any sick dogs! :)

Needed: Morning Glory Expert Advice! :)
Your dogs will be fine. I have 9 of them and a yard full of morning glories every summer. The worst thing that would happen is they would eat the plants and get the runs, but mine never do.
Mike, I agree with Beth especially big dogs...I have 5 dogs and never had a problem with them. Most dogs aren't veggie or seed eaters, some of course will eat anything!!! LOL but they would have to consume hundreds of seeds before there was a problem and at most, like Beth said they would get the runs or throw them right back up....No worries plant away!!!

Mike - I, too, agree! Be sure to post a photo of the MGs all along your fence when they are vining and blooming! It should look beautiful!!!
