Quail Quail Everywhere!

Johnson City, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks, Molly. I will try again! Hopefully they will
ship by May 3rd. I could order a breeding pair, but that
would only give me 2 possible bloodlines. And, very
stressful on the birds, I would have to quarantine them,
very expensive, etc. So, I will try the egg way. Plenty of
people get good hatches from shipped eggs, and hopefully
this is the end of my turn for egg/incubating problems.
I would gladly drive for some eggs, but the closest I can
get these is Amarillo, at least 6 hours away. Maybe it
would be advantageous to have them shipped from there
rather than halfway across America, but he has not been
breeding them very long. I'll wait on his till next year?

Wouldn't it be nice if someone opened up a delivery service that catered to shipping delicate things like live animals, eggs, plants, fine art and so on. All those things that we don't want damaged while being shipped.

Molly, do we want ANYTHING damaged while being shipped? Unless it was one of those totally ugly lamp things they show in the comics. And have it insured for $5,000?

LOL not quite what I meant! LOL Just that some things are more delicate and need better treatment than the USPS or other carriers give them. Now I've got a really ugly chair Paul inherited that I wouldn't mind if the USPS bounced around on several of their conveyor belts! And they wouldn't even have to insure it. ^_^

I know exactly what you mean. That's why I said it...just think if they did and you had it insured, you could get money for it.LOL

Granny for this chair I'd be willing to pay them instead ;-)

I think there probably are 'delicate couriers' out
there. I don't know any off the top of my head, though.
LOL on the chair- I have one of those chairs, and it's
long ago been designated the dog's chair! But it is so
big and comfortable- no wonder they have claimed it,
they like smelly things.

Hoping hoping thos eeggs ship soon. Geez, the wait
and on top of that 25 days to incubate! You'd think I
was trying to grow a person!

truest this chair has no virtues. It's made of wood in the stiffest manner possible. No comfortable curves to it. Paul inherited it from his grandfather so he treasures it. I keep hoping a tree will drop on the house and shatter the chain into toothpicks! I've relegated it to a guest room so I don't have to look at it all the time.

Wow, a chair with no virtues. Now that's something
I've never heard before! LOL

Columbia, TN(Zone 7b)

LOL it's a virtually useless chair!
