Help - Lily ID

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Hi, My father gave me some Liles last year. It only blooms once a year and has light pink trumpet like pale pink flower that is about 7 inches long. I don't have any pictures of the Flower it self. When I did see it, I didn't have a camera with me. I took one of the lilies to a local nursery/ botanist (*spell'g) and he said that it's a Christopher Lily. Of course he didn't give me the techincal name for it. If anyone can help its deeply appreciated.

I think it looks like a crinum, based on the foliage. There are many different types of flowers under the crinum name.

It does not look to be in the genus lilium. Though so many plants get called a "lily".

Or it is one funky lilium hybrid ;*)

Ok maybe not.

Crinum jagus is called 'St Christopher Lily' but that is white. Tytyga nursery is offering two versions, but C.jagus has a smaller form. The leaves of C. jagus are broad and look very much like yours. If the flowers are pink I think the guy has told you the wrong name.

Thank You Very Much. :) I'll just have to wait until it flowers. My father's has already flowered this year. I have yet to see any pictures of the color of this flower. I'm usually camera happy. LOL ... Thank you for your time and help. :)
