CLOSED: Brown moth

This guy came to the lights last night. It looks somewhat familiar, but i can't seem to find it.

Any clues?

Lol - I'd say it looks familiar too... so many of those owlet moths have that same beautiful pattern. I thought maybe one of the quaker moths, but I saw this dart moth that looks a lot like it, #10994 Cerastis tenebrifera. Maybe?

That's pretty close, and I think it's a dart moth too.

I'll dig some more before deciding for sure...looking at it's range and habitat first.

I think that you've i.d.'d it. It's range is in my area and it likes moist woods. Flies in early spring with one generation a year.

I'm going with this until I hear differently.
