truest I was confused at one time too which is easy since there is so much false information regarding Araucanas, Ameraucanas and Easter Egg Layers, AKA Rainbow Layers.
Just remember Araucanas and Ameraucanas are 2 different APA recognised breeds with different type and traits and Easter Egg Layers are crossbreed/mutts.

I should add that to my knowledge NO commercial hatcheries sell real APA Ameraucanas. Even if they say they have Ameraucanas they are Easter Egg Layers. The ABC has tried over the years to get these hatcheries to quit making false claims but some will still say they have Ameraucanas, so caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware!
