Treating lily seeds with fungicide

Laurel, MD(Zone 7a)

I read to treat lily seeds with Captan. I have had some difficulty in locating this and was just told by a local nursery that it is one of the older products and that I should look for something else. What do you use to treat seeds prior to sowing? Powders? What and where can this be obtained. I found a concentrate Captan on-line but wonder if there is a better way to treat the seeds. Thanks.

I don't treat my lily seeds. I treat the pods in late summer as the weather cools. I just use whatever fungicide I have on hand-- rose, general garden etc. I do this several times before pod harvest and don't have problems with fungus. Do you know that you have a fungus problem?

Thanks for responding! I only just received the lily seeds and no, they do not appear to have anything growing on them. I am new to this and am trying to do it correctly and read somewhere to treat them prior to sowing. I just want so much to do it right and have them grow into little plants.

I do not treat my seeds either, or my pods. But Minnesota weather tends to have drier air and much less rain than where Pard lives.
