Burying bodies in my back yard...

Pam, thank GOD for people like you that does not fit the system... there is hope!!!!

Pam - there will be a point at which you will look back on all this & experience an extreme sense of satisfaction that is a result of responding positively to a negative situation.
On top of that, you will have achieved some of your gardening goals. It's a win-win deal!

I went through something similar several years ago, and I'm still amazed at the outcome of having transferred the negative energy into working the land. It's as if I conquered the whole ordeal by rising above it: the plants lifecycles' are very symbolic.

I hope you don't have to bury any more bodies, but if you do, at least you'll have a ready resting place for them!

Having recently achieved tenure - it's hard to resist a certain sense of entitlement; it's #$$#@% hard to achieve tenure, and god knows we get paid peanuts (well, sociology professors do).

Still, it is no excuse for infantile behaviour - and goodness knows I have seen plenty! That is why gardening is such a great activity; you spend your time creating beauty and the little plants don't talk back, feel jealous, or try to intimidate you with their knowledge :-)

Seandor, your plants don't talk back to you? Oh, dear... I thought that everybody's plants yelled at them for more water & attention! I also have caught weeds making obscene gestures at me! ;0)

My plants are very well behaved :-) ( . . . . .so far!)

I find that the Dewberry vines say nasty things & laugh when they pierce gardening gloves.
