I have a very small Mimosa tree that I brought back from Kentucky to my home in Michigan a couple days ago. I would like to plant it in a large pot to keep it over the summer, and see if I can store it in my garage or barn for the winters (like I do tree roses), bringing it back out next summer. The dormant whip (about 4 feet tall) is barefooted and has not sprouted yet.
What kind of soil do I need to use?
What are its water needs?
Does anyone have any experience doing this?
Any suggestions?
I sure appreciate any help you kind folks can give me!
:) Glenda
