CLOSED: Odd Larva?

Indiana, IN(Zone 5b)

I seen this bug about 3-4 years ago. I found it at lunch time at work crawling on the ground. I do not have a picture except for the drawing. It did not have anything that looked like a head. It moves in the direction of the arrow. It has 6 legs, a set of pretty powerfull pinchers in back. if you stop it's forward movement it brings thoes pinchers up and attacks what ever stops it. It is about a half inch long and is the color of good dirt. I would have to say it is the oddest bug I have ever seen.

Could it be an Earwig?

It did not have the body sections like an earwig. maybe it was earwig larva? its body was soft. but its pinchers were tough. ant it was more than willing to use them.
