Will post this to the tomato forum too.
I'm following Carolyn's directions for starting tomato seeds, but also doing eggplants and peppers. I am assuming I can use the very same directions--True? Does anyone else have the issue of having differential development within the same tray? I use one 20 row tray to start multiple varieties, and now am wondering whether to pick one time to transplant all or do individual plants...Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks
seedling transplanting
My tomatos always grow at different rates depending on the variety. I just transplant each as they get mature enough.
If you are planting them all in one tray just make sure you have enough space in between so you can pick the ones out that germinate first so you won't disturb the other seeds, this is what I do, I probably place the seeds at least an inch apart.
