It's SPRING!!!!! Yippee!

Finally! I have soooo many little plants on the go . . . just another month and I can start planting out the hardy stuff.

I called the Dept. of Parks and Recreation . . . they will provide all the compost and mulch I need for the terrace gardens! They will order as much as I need, and will deliver it at our convencience!

Now, I just have to figure out how to get cheap crushed gravel for the pathways . . . any ideas?

Today I am celebrating the first day of Spring by going to a Thai restaurant with friends . . . what will you be doing?

I'm having a major allergy attack for the first day of spring. Can't get much more appropriate than that!

Gee, I'm sorry Cat. I don't have allergies myself, but DH does . . . so I have an indirect idea of how much some people suffer.

I've been suffering for days now, Cat.

DH and I went to an all you can eat pancake breakfast, I probably won't eat for the rest of the day!

I think Maine has canceled Spring this year. We will just go right to summer in about 2 months when the snow melts. A picture of the 1st. day of spring here. :)) kdcon

I hear ya Kdcon, lots of snow squalls today and even some hail. On the first day of spring I go to my favorite Greenhouse and wander around. I did end up buying a firecracker plant and some Primroses and it felt good to be surrounded by greenery!!

This is my favorite Flowering Maple, it reminds me of sunshine which I haven't seen enough of lately.

Can't remember what this is and I do it everytime. You'd think I just write it down!

This is a lovely Pink Peace Lily.

Very dangerous....not all tropical! I bought this lovely Primrose(thought of you Sue) and it's hardy.

They had the cutest little purple flower called a 'Dolphin Violet'

and they made great hanging baskets as you can see.
