It's SPRING!!!!! Yippee!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Finally! I have soooo many little plants on the go . . . just another month and I can start planting out the hardy stuff.

I called the Dept. of Parks and Recreation . . . they will provide all the compost and mulch I need for the terrace gardens! They will order as much as I need, and will deliver it at our convencience!

Now, I just have to figure out how to get cheap crushed gravel for the pathways . . . any ideas?

Today I am celebrating the first day of Spring by going to a Thai restaurant with friends . . . what will you be doing?

It's official - it's Spring! Today ebay. I am trying to get my store filled up as my ebay time is ticking out.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Hi Jordan and schickenlady! I hope you both have a wonderful day - it's cloudy here and overcasts - but at least it's not snowing!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Happy Spring everyone! Raining here too and I have to go do the taxes this afternoon. DDIL is coming to stay with my mom so it is a big day out. LOL but it is spring so what could be better. :)

Westbrook, CT(Zone 6a)

There's an old poem:
Spring has sprung, the grass has riz
I wonder where the birdies iz.

I don't have to wonder anymore. Two swans settled down in our pond yesterday.

...and yes, you may add another verse:

The little birds are on the wing, but that is too absurd.
As any fool can tell you, the wing is on the bird.

Happy Spring Michaela and all on the NE Forum! They are having a New Orleans style funeral procession in Times Square for winter!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Now that's a great idea! A funeral for winter :-)

I'm having a major allergy attack for the first day of spring. Can't get much more appropriate than that!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Gee, I'm sorry Cat. I don't have allergies myself, but DH does . . . so I have an indirect idea of how much some people suffer.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I've been suffering for days now, Cat.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

DH and I went to an all you can eat pancake breakfast, I probably won't eat for the rest of the day!

Happy Spring!!

What type of flower please. Is it a rose?

I think Maine has canceled Spring this year. We will just go right to summer in about 2 months when the snow melts. A picture of the 1st. day of spring here. :)) kdcon

Wow - you have my sympathy.

The red ones are Alexander Mackenzie ( an Canadian Explorer ), the others are various D. Austin's. Glad I have pics to look at, This is what I like to wake up to in early summer as the sun is coming up. ::)) kdcn

I hear ya Kdcon, lots of snow squalls today and even some hail. On the first day of spring I go to my favorite Greenhouse and wander around. I did end up buying a firecracker plant and some Primroses and it felt good to be surrounded by greenery!!
