Will Doone Valley Thyme take full TX sun?

Hi,

Got this a couple of days ago, I have two spots, one full sun, the other almost full shade. Which is a better spot. In general can thyme take the full TX sun?

You might want to post this in the perennials forum or TX gardening forum, rather than here in the Trees and shrubs forum. Here in MN Thyme takes full sun, but I can't say whether it will take full sun in TX. Sorry.
