Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone,
I participated in a seed swap which I received today, included was this MG envelope.

Did searches already but didn't have any luck in finding a post.Could it be that it has also another name ?
Would love to put it into my file with descriptions.

Thank you so much.

Personally have not heard of that one.

Mesilla Park, NM

I haven't heard that name either.

I have no definitive answer for you either. The dark seeds and flowers remind me of the kekene small flower long vine. But is is really tough to I.D. on such a small picture(of a picture) of the vine. Someone may have given it a American name. It also resembles the Hattie Bell pictures in a way.

You will know more about it by growing it. Karen

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

So far I haven't had any luck searching any further.

are the leaves solid or variegated...I can't tell from the photo.

Thanks!

Hi seedsower,
I took the little envie and looked under a magnifier ,the leaves look spotted ,no veines or something like that but spotted.

The spots are not present on the flower otherwise I would have thought it was the printing of the picture.

I agree, someone just gave it their own name. The only way to see what they really are is to grow em out! You can safely bet that they are of I. nil (JMG) and not tricolor or purpurea though!

The photo on the seed packet really reminds me of the Umi I grew a couple years back....
