and more
Come to the Dixie AV convention with me
jan, I just love it that you took so many pictures. Isn't it the most exciting experience? I just love that columnea and she is just an 'Early Bird'........nothing like a well grown plant for beauty even if it is a common columnea.
gosh, that iced Pink Flamingo has great variegation on the leaves..........keep posting
Your convention was much bigger than either ours or the other one I went to.........awesome terrarium and blooming av.
oh my gosh!!!!!!! How beautiful. That was the Dixie convention. You are so lucky to get to see plants like that........awesome pics
****Weather alert for south Texas......all of you know how i hate this wind. They just announced on TV that it is gusting to 68 mph right now and will get worse tonight. My brother said it was blowing at 40mph at 6 o'clock this morning when he left the house.
Everything on my porch I have put down on the ground and it may not even be there tomorrow.........tired of fighting this wind. Next project will be to put plexiglass over the screen opening before next winter. I just have 2 more months of this wind if the plants can make it that long. They are predicting heavy thunderstorms with hail in the morning hours.
And heres what came home with me.LOL.

Looking at the sales table pics it's probably a good thing I'm only 'seeing' the convention!!! - I noticed the MC/Visa sign too! LOL I could have seriously gotten in debt!

Where the heck was I in March and how did I totally miss this thread??!!
WOW! Jan, those are some awesome photo's! I love, love, love that one called Moby Grape! Perfect name for a perfect plant. I really love the Kentucky Maiden too! I think I have one called Frozen In Time or at least I did - one I got from a lady in our local AV club ... it's probably faded away on one of my stands and I haven't even noticed! I will have to go look for it.
I've never been to a show and would probably take 2,000 photo's and want every plant I saw! They are just gorgeous! One of these days I've got to find a Gessie show to attend!
Thanks so much for sharing your visit to the Dixie AV Convention .... I'm a little late but better late than never, right?
WOW! Gorgeous pictures from the show! I just think large groups of violets are stunning, I just want to HUG THEM!!
Gail sorry you have to get ready for the wind, hope everything will be ok.
I am ready for fall already!
Yikes, do we have bad wind ahead of us? I am ready for fall, too!
Gail, I think Sally saw your post from back on March 17th, not realizing this is an old thread. I thought it was new too when I found it earlier today, don't know how I missed it back in March!
How funny as I thought she knew something weather wise that I did not. We are really having a drought (almost) . We haven't had rain in a couple of months but the crops are holding up amazingly well considering no rain.
We are really dry here too, Gail. Hopefully we will be getting some much needed rain next week.
This time last year we had rain! Not now... Not a good way to start the summer.
Hi there, That was a nice show.I had fun just talking plants for a day.And the seminars was nice too.
