Wow, that one IS "icy blue"! I found a picture with our older 'Blue Ice' against the deck. I actually took this picture to show someone the "gawdy" combination of the pink and red! LOL The 'Blue Ice' is showing in the upper right hand corner, definitely not as "icy" as gardenguy's.
Help!!! Where's "Victor's List"?
Hmm - Blue Ice is supposed to grow strongly pyramidal. Yours looks very different.
But, oh! So beautiful!
supposed to grow strongly pyramidal
Victor, it actually is "somewhat" pyramidal - sorry I don't have a better picture of it. Of course, at one point about 5 years ago, Rick pruned the top off the poor thing because it was spoiling our view from the deck! He gave up and let it just do its thing...now it's about 6' above the deck railing and has created a shady corner for containers :)
Ah - maybe that's why. It's usually described as pyramidal or even columnar. I'm disappointed that mine have never been anywhere near that ice blue color. Mine have stayed very narrow. I'll find a pic.
Victor, Or pour pee from a PG woman on it. Honest. What are you growing over it now that the hops was 86d? Patti
Roses and clematis. What's a PG woman?? I prefer at least an 'R' rating.
You did not father 2 children without one.
I never referred to it as my PG woman, but okay...
Miracle Gro you say? Interesting, might be easier than the mixture of vinegar, salt and ammonia that was recommended in some of my reading. Supposedly this mixture will give you the green patina overnight - do you remember how long it took with the Miracle Gro?
Virtually immediately.
Great archway.
Thanks Candyce.
