Now this is interesting ...

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

This flower was from an open pollenation dark blue Sunrise Serenade. It sorta wanted to feather but didn't.

Hi X,

I think those are normal variations for the hige types. Karen

I really like that, it looks like a star.

I forgot to add all very pretty. I like the feathery looking sides too. Karen

Thanks .. It reminded me of the Messenger Saga .. was getting a bit suspicious. I had seen splits with the curly petals .. but this was a first time for me with the smooth petals.

I didn't know that there was a blue sunrise serenade. I had the red ones last year.

Very cool looking bloom ya got there X! I didn't know there was blue Sunrise Serenade, either.

I have purple hige (Indigo Feathers) and also an unknown triple pink feather MG.

Sunrise Serenade is dark pink. If Sunrise serenade gets crossed with other colors then it may not be dark pink anymore. I`m unsure if it is correct for a blue or purple flower to carry the Sunrise Serenade name even if it came from a dark pink Sunrise Serenade.

Karen are both of those blooms on the same plant?

Nope, don`t think so. They were purchased as Sunrise Serenade and they had a purple surprise included iykwim.
