Great buys Gail! Wow! $5.00 for Orchids?! Amazing! Our HD and Lowes never put orchids on clearance. :( The only place locally that does is Wal-Mart and they usually are almost beyond saving by the time they discount them and stick them on the clearance rack!

Our Wal-Mart used to carry the mini orchids for $9.98 and Home Depot would ocassionally have them for $13.98. That one I bought yesterday I could have sworn I saw a price of $13.98 on a stake in with the little pots, but noticed when I got home the price on my receipt was $19.99! I normally would NOT pay that much for a plant unless it was something really Spectacular that I couldn't live without ... but hey, it was a birthday present so I'm not taking it back! LOL. I can't wait to see what it looks like when those blooms open.

I really would love to find the one Diane mentioned that smells like chocolate!

I copied this from some site:
Are you ready for this? Chocolate Orchids. When you smell these babies, you'll be hit by a wonderful chocolate scent floating up from dozens of tiny blossoms. Sharry Baby is spectacular in its festive splashes of chocolate and white. The flowers appear to be soft and delicate, but the petals actually have a firm, almost leathery feel to them. Just like chocolate, they can be very addictive.

They are wonderful Lin! And long lasting blooms too! At work we got some in that were just budded beginning of Feb for VAlentine's Day sales. By then they were open and the ones left are still going so that would make about a month so far for the blooms! And they STILL smell like chocolate!

Oh my ... I must be on the lookout for that one! Imagine, a chocolate fragrance in an orchid! Isn't nature wonderful?
