How long will a paint mark stay on a pine tree? A tree accidentally got marked that I didn't want cut down, and now it is ugly. I don't know how long I will have to live with it.
Need to know: spray paint on bark
Depends on the paint. Some grades are more persistent than others. Many tree paints are graded according to the number of years they remain visible, see if it is specified on the paint you used.
With a pine, it is however fairly easy to flake off the outermost layer of bark with the paint, then the next layer of bark underneath will soon weather to normal colouring.
Resin
Thanks, Resin!
I feel better now. I think I can salvage this.
Think yourself lucky it wasn't a beech! ;-)
