Where do you get them ?

Rapid City, SD(Zone 4b)

I have gone thru pages and pages of back posts trying to find out where all of you are getting these beauties!!! I have even looked in my local stores and can only seem to find ones that are "mixed". Please Please Help.. I am just in love with them and just starting my collection. I have 2 kinds, my father hooked me on them. He gave me some mini blue MG seeds befor he passed and then a friend gave me some Grandpa Ott's last year.

So ok Give it UP... Where so your get yours?

Ebay is a good source. I don't know what you're looking for, but I might have them. D-mail me!

I have some tie-dye pink and blue seeds that you can have. I know that Walmart has packs of single colors. Don't nix the mixed packs though. You can get some real beauties in there, and are worth it. Hang in there and I'm sure that other members will offer you some seeds. Send me your address and I'll send you the tie-dye seeds.

Most of mine have just been ordinary commercial packets from the Burpee and Ferry Morse racks at the hardware store.

From the racks:
- Star of Yelta
- Scarlett O'Hara (I don't think so)
- Flying Saucers (actually Blue Star - three times!)
- Giant White Moonflower (I. alba)
- Cardinal Climber (I. sloteri)
- Convolvulus (Blue Enchantment)
- Picotee Red
- Picotee Blue Double

Also from trading with Dave's Garden members:
- Milky Way
- Candy Pink
- various Mount Fuji

From my mom:
- Candy Pink
- Ivy-Leaved Morning glory

The Candy Pink seeds above were an "extra" in a trade batch, and only three seeds came out of the envelope un-crushed. I gave two of them to my mom to plant in her yard, and at the end of last year, she sent me a whole ziplock bag full of a couple hundred Candy Pink seeds - not a bad return on investment for only having a couple to start with!

The Ivy-Leaved seeds were from some vines that she found growing in a corner of the yard after clearing out some brush, so I'll be interested to see how those come out.

Wow, sounds like you all have a wonderful collection !! I am hopeful that my collection could someday reach what all of you have!

I will continue to look in the stores and online for some.

Thank you

Onalee's Seeds offers packets of Japanese and traditional morning glories for sale. She has an online store and an e-bay store with different stock in each, I think.

Onalee is a DG member and posts on this forum once in a while. A popular seed source for DG members.

And here's a recent thread with some other seed source ideas: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/819661/
