Ok,
Today I moved a garbage bag of coffee grinds sitting in my small flowerbed, and voila! You know those huge maggotey things I've been asking about for a year now? Well I finally got my picture. NOW can ya'll tell me what they are?
CLOSED: HUGE LARVAE GROWING IN THE COFFEE GRINDS...What are they?
Maybe Soldier fly larvae
Could you try to collect them and put them in an enclosed "butterfly cage" and raise them to morph into whatever they may truly be, to know for sure?
Claypa,
You're two for two today! 100%! I read the link, and, yep, those are what I've been trying to ID for almost a year! Every now and then, we'll get these huge flies buzzing around. I was wondering. Now I know! Thanks!
