I was overly enthusiastic when I ordered seeds this year and bought too many for my indoor seed-starting capacity! I was wondering if I could direct sow in spring any of the following with enough confidence that they will germinate that I can forgo starting them indoors:
China Aster
Ageratum
Marigold
Snapdragon
Catchfly
Vinca
Gomphrena
Gazania
Rose Mallow (perennial)
Lupine
Flemish Poppy
Gaillardia
Anyone have experience direct sowing any of these?
THANKS!
What can I direct sow in spring?
Most of these could probably be found in PlantFiles with information on when and how to sow them. I have learned a lot by looking through there! :)
From my experience I've sown, Ageratum, Snapdragon, & Flemish Poppy
and all did well!
Thanks to you both. I'll have a careful look in plant files and direct sow as much as I can.
Good luck! You will love PlantFiles once you get started in there! :)
