Alright, so my mom bought a lily last year. She kinda forgot about it and it didn't do so well... so I took the pot away away from her. Did the best I could and it did alright. It got blown down from where it had been setting the other day, so I took the opportunity to investigate. There was 4 bulbs (I thought there was only 3) with a ton of bulblets hanging on. Some of these guys are the size of a pea but they all have roots (or root). Is it best to leave them on, or can I take them off? If I can take them off, how deep do I replant the little itty-bitty baby bulbs?
bulblets... Now what?
When the bulbs are really tiny like that, I prefer to plant the whole thing. I cut the old stem above and below the group of bulblets and plant it as it was growing before. Just make sure there is plenty of soil to cover the top bulblets.
thanks.
I wasn't sure, I thought I could let them get bigger, but then I was like what if it keeps expanding

Kinda like that, leaving me with tiny little guys on the outside constantly. I'll let them grow. Thanks again!
Give them another season of growth and they'll be ready to separate and planted out on their own. You'll probably see lots of leaflets coming from them this year.
Don't forget to mark the spot so you don't think you have a vacancy while they're young.
