Pam - Excellent! Direct sow is the easiest way to go if you live in a warmer zone (6B and higher, IMHO). If you live in a zone that has a longer warm season (Spring/Summer/Fall), it gives the plants time to grow and produce flowers and more seeds for next year (in case they don't live through the cold months or are annuals). Good luck with the hollyhocks! I have yet to get a good hollyhock plant to grow here. Might be too warm in my zone for them!

I found another mystery caterpillar today. This one was rolled inside a leaf on my Mayhaw tree. I brought him inside so maybe I can raise him and see what he turns into. But if anyone has any ideas in the meantime, let me know!

Aahh!! I love those Wooly Bear cats!! They are so much cuter to have than icky army worms. :)
