I get my grandson tomorrow after nursery school - for the weekend---so we will have some planting in pots to keep us thinking spring as we wait for what the weatherman is forcasting...possibly the biggest winter storm of the year ...maybe up to 2 feet of snow. Fun..fun..but it is so beautiful
Last snowfall my son and grandson made snow cream.....First time doing things with a toddler is always such fun as they get so excited over new experiences.
By the way..I tried the toothache plant after I had had it over a month ...tried the leaves and the flowers...it does numb some..but as I recall, the taste wasn't that appealing...but it is a conversation piece and an unusual attraction...and does it ever make seeds

Oh how fun! Time with your grandson I mean, not the snow, wow, two feet! I'm looking forward to my three year old nephew visiting at the end of this month, for a whole week!
The toothache plant looks really pretty, it will be a nice addition to the garden. :-)

If you go to the Home page and then click on Extras (which is right under the Home, My Tools, etc. tabs), then you should see a list of Extra fun stuff. Click on DG adress exchange. You have to put your address in to be able to access other people's addresses.

Deanna, they are all planted and watered in! We actually got half an inch of rain Friday night, so they should be happy campers. I cannot wait until they bloom, woohoo!
I hope all the Mimosa seeds germinate, then you'll have a sensitive plant jungle!
dontcha just love it! I think one thing I will like best about the lycoris is that it likes a good baking and trust me...in my front yard it will get one LOL

Hmm... We planted the mimosa seeds. Actually, they ended up planting a lot more than the mimosa seeds. One little one lost a ring in the dirt and we had to sort of dig through a few pots to see if it was in there.. Then, of course.. it was in her pocket.
Not so sure how this will work, but they had fun!
