I have notice that you always called I purpurea "Tall Morning Glorys", is that an accepted name for ALL purpurea's?

Sylvia - "Tall Morning Glory" is the general common name for most 'wild' type Ipomoea purpurea, although many cultivars may exhibit characteristics that may produce shorter plants or other features that might transgress the most usual features of the "Tall Morning Glory"...

Somewhat of a judgment call on whether to list all Ipomoea purpurea under the General Heading of Tall MG,or at least relegate some subsections that may describe more specific features where indicated by the particular Ipomoea purpurea strain and/or cultivar characteristics...

My preference is to see

1) the current botanical name

and

2) the more specific strain and cultivar descriptors

as the most important and

3) the common names are in far last place priority in order of importance

Just sharing some suggestions...

TTY,...

Thank you Ron, I like to get facts about Morning Glories, especially because of that I write about them in my homepage. In Sweden we call Morning Glories - Blomman För Dagen, it means "Flower for a day".

Hi Sylvia! Thanks for your generous offer. I DO happen to have seeds for Crimson Rambler, so I don't need any. :-) I can't wait to see what else you start growing! You are doing an awesome job with all those seeds! Keep those photos coming!!!
