Pb, I'm so sorry it's taken me all day to figure it out but, I do not have Rosella. When I started looking at breaking open my pod, it was so hard I couldn't imagine eating it at one time. I found some notes from the RU, and what I have is Hibicus Calyphullus. Maybe Mamajack could help you out with seed. Sorry again.
What do y'all think of these?
PBTX, i do have seeds. my own seeds are yellow flowering but i do have some that are supposed to be pink as well. you can have some of both or whichever one you want. most every one of them will prob. germinate. it is an annual but will grow to 5-6 ft. in a season in the ground if the rain is good this year. and it is tasty to eat raw but there are recipes on daves somewhere about how to make that drink. the foliage is a reddish purple and just stands out in a crowd. lmk.
Oh, I looked those up in the PF, and they are lovely! Barb, I would love to try those. Whatever you have enough of to share would be great.
What can I share with you? Hmmm... what if I come help pack up all those mums? :)
you are welcome to come and help. my house is dirty and i doubt i'll be getting in the mood to reconcile that any time soon. so if you think you can tolerate that you just come right on.
on the seeds... no trade necessary as i have plenty. you want to sow them now?
LOL! I'll feel right at home.
I don't know much about seeds. When is the best time to plant them? I'm not in any rush. The other plants won't be here until April.
HA! I received a seed order placed way back in January, in it was Sabdariffa Rosella! I guess that's where I got the idea that I had these seeds. Sooo, Mamajack let me give PBtx some of mine since I was the one to offer in the first place. I feel guilty, like I gave away your seeds for you. Plus I'll see her tomorrow and can give them to her then. K?
that's good cocoa since you will be seeing her. but i have plenty. my one plant had dozens and then my friend in the phillipines sent a whole bunch.
My order came in yesterday and everything was packed perfectly and in great shape! The sumac and guara have blooms forming! I love HCG!
what size are the plants, bronc? 4 in. pots or what?
The sumac and iris came in 5" pots, and everythingelse came in 3" pots.
i always mean to order from them every year for like the last 10 yrs. and i never have. glad to know you were pleased with what you got.
