Here are pics from this morning. Everything is growing a warp speed. I think the Earth Boxes have a slight advantage at this point. I report, you decide.(If you watch Fox News, you know what that means)

Boca Bob,
Your veggies are looking great. What do you use for fertilizer?
Fair and balanced gardening!
LOL!
Dean_W - I use Fox Farm Hydroponic products for the Hydrostackers and good old 6-6-6 for the Earthboxes.

Thanks, BocaBob, they look like they enjoy what your giving them.
Bob,
My strawberries have been planted in the EZGro for a week and all have broken dormancy and have a new leaf or two. I'll take a couple of photos at two weeks. So far, so good.

Boca Bob, your potted garden makes me very envious But I have to stop and remember that maybe you will be envious of me this summer when i am gardening in our nice weather!!!!!!!! Your garden looks lovely and happy.
Donna, in snowy cold Wash.
Donna- When it is 100 degrees and 100% humidity this summer, I will be VERY envious of you and your garden.

Bob,
I said that I post a photo of my EZGro once the plants started to grow. Here's a composite showing the whole planter and a view that's a little closer to the plants. I put a little bit of coarse bark mulch on the top layer because it was losing planting media from hard winds. At this point, I'm watering by hand, half a gallon twice a day. I hope to set up something automatic later this spring.
The strawberries were dormant sets when I planted two weeks ago. The strawberry plants are 'Eversweet', a day-neutral everbearing plant. I ordered them from Stark Brothers Nursery in Missouri.

Dave- JUST BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!! When I get my strawberry plants in, will you give me a step by step how you planted them?
BocaBob
So your pool is completely enclosed, and that keeps out bees?
LTiton - Maybe, but I haven't seen any bees around for a few years. Half of my garden is outside the pool also, so if there are any bees, hopefully I will see them.
BocaBob
Dave,
Show some more pictures of your gardening area, please.
Boca Bob, I didn't go back and reread this thread, did you tell us where you got your great looking container. I would like to try one of two. Would appreciate an address if you have one. TIA
Donnna
Bob--Instructions for planting the strawberries are fairly straight-forward. Let me know when your strawberries arrive. I didn't do anything too special, but I'm willing to share what I did.
Dean_W--I'll take a couple of photos in a day or two. It was a great weekend to be outside in the Austin area!
