I need some advice. I got a lilac branch earlier this year that was in full bloom. just a branch and I stuck it in the ground and kept watering it, well it's still green but it's this 5' branch! I'd really like to cut it back will it hurt to do so or should I wait? there's no sign of growth on the outside but when I snap a small branch it's still green, any ideas will help, thanks
