Leftover seeds, got an idea

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Do you like surprises, are you up to taking a chance? Do you have a space that needs a "face lift" Do you like adventure and are you willing to let mother nature do her thing?
If you are any of those things, please read, instructions at bottom

When ever I clean up after potting stuff up for WS and such. Somehow I always leave seeds behind. So, I take them and put them in a container I keep there just for this.
Sometimes, you may have a little left over from a trade, but not enough to do another one.
Or you may have so many of one seed you think it will take over your life.
I took all those mixed up seeds and sowed them out by an entrance to the woods behind our house by a trail. It was so pretty, I actually had people ask how I did it. HEH HEH
After they were up, of course there were some that I wanted somewhere else, etc., so I just transplanted.

So here's the idea.
1.Gather the seeds
2. Toss into a bag marked "Surprise Seed"
3. Ship to me by March 5
4. INclude with the seeds an address label and 3 stamps and I will mail them back in same envelope
5. I'll mix all the seeds received and remake your bag and send them back by March 15

If you are new and don't have a lot of seeds, don't worry, just send them on.
If you have a ton, send a few extra.

Fun idea, Lorraine!

Do you think this thread might get more responses over on the seed trading forum? or did you cross-post it there already? (I might have missed it.)

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

I did post it there and we've already done the trade, posted the next one on the large seed swap.
It was fun, so we're going to try and do a different one every two months or so. We all ended up with a sandwich bag full of seeds.!!! We started one for this month which will be red white and blue, pack of red, pk of blue, pk of white then I'll mix each color together and ssend 3 paks back out. .

We're doing a herb one, a tomato and pepper one, a Sunflower and mixed prairie flowers, etc etc. You'll have to come see us. We've been putting before pics and then after they grow, we'll put an after.

Lorraine, I would like to participate in the surprise seed swap when ever you do it again. Will you cross post it both here and in the seed swap forum too. I missed it.
