Burn & Pelle, I don't see you on the map. Do you see mine? Only one in GA. Becky
I think you might have to have the persons web account address there??
I'll look.
No I don't see mine on the front page map either and only 1 in Georgia.
Maybe it takes a while to get them on?? Maybe on a weekday they'll go on.

Pelle is really on the ball. She has 2006 & 2007 list up lol
Mine is TreeTop. That's the name of my street. I see everyone's now. This is great.
Pelle is the Master Birdwatcher.
Becky
I signed up too, name is Angele. Boy the map is really close. It missed my house by a little & I am glad it did!
Oh I wish I was the Master Birdwatcher, lol. These were just the birds I've seen in my backyard.
If we're going by total birds seen all over adelbert would probably win that title. :-)
I'll go check out your pages.
I have a new life list book and noted those that came to my yard of my old home but no dates since I lost all my notes in Katrina. I am disappointed in the birds I get here in the new home. It is almost 20 miles directly north of my old home. The difference was my old home was just 1/2 mile or less from the Gulf so everything dropped in to feed. I had a count of nearly 100 species that used to come through in spring stopping off for a day to a week or more before moving on. Up here everything has already refueled and just passes me by. This winter has been bad for winter migrants. I only have about 25 Goldfinches. The last 2 winters here I have had 100 of them just like I used to get at the old place. Hopefully in time more species will find me here. The welcome mat is always out
Don't worry Donna they will definitely come in time especially since you have that
Welcome Mat out. :-)
It took 1 1/2 years before I started seeing special ones in my yard. This winter was the first I saw the Pine Siskins in my yard till the Hawks scared them off for good.
Maybe next winter.
Years ago the hobos used to draw symbols to leave a message for other hobos. They would draw a cat on a tree or gate to mean 'kind-hearted woman lives here.' Hehe, I'm sure the birds don't use a cat for their symbol but I bet anything they are passing the word where you live Donna :-)
Thanks Donna, was able to edit , yard name has to be one big word, no space, that's what I was doing wrong.
I can't get it to work keeps saying It failed. I can't get anything to go in the description part either. Do you put your full address or what in the address part??
Never mind....one of those senior moments!! I didn't notice where you have to type in the 2 words!!

I just put my town.
Has everyone said there username there?
I signed up yesterday and my username is Birdie! I love my new name...LOL! I was surprised at how many birds I've seen from my own yard. I am looking forward to this spring when hopefully I'll see some I didn't know existed until I joined this forum.
Birdie
Wow Birdie (Rose), you have a great list!!!
Well, mine is nannysgarden but I haven't put any birds on yet!
I cant get my yard description to show when I type it in. Any ideas? Thanks, GM
Grandmaggie I had trouble with that area too. The text would disappear for minutes at a time. I thought it wasn't working but finally it did show up.
I keep remembering bird to add, birds I see everyday I'm putting as Jan 1, 08 and other birds the day I first saw them. Has anybody seen a way to edit the dates? I've been deleting and re-adding for birds I want to change the date for.
Thanks angele! I will work on it later this afternoon. Still thinking of a yard name! GM No, I dont know how to edit the dates yet havent gotten that far.
I haven't been able to add any description on my yard either and I thought it was something I was doing wrong. I couldn't figure out the date thing so everything has the same date. I am very computer challenged!! I will try again later...good luck angele and GM!
Okay, I'm Mrs_Ed on the yard site.
Finally got mine going! Have to check through pics for dates on a couple more before I add them!
Nanny, I just posted all of my dates as today… it would take me too long to figure out most of these. But going forward, any new sightings will be added.
And I have a few on my life list that of course aren't in my yard list.
I did the same thing unles I was able to easily locate the pic files to check. I have a couple on the ID thread and will add them was I know who they are for sure! lol
I do need to get a better notebook for sure though as I want to keep a written one too! So when I die, the kids & grandkids can fight over who gets my Bird Journal!! LOL
I just used different years.
Cool site, thanks for posting it! I'm on there as sadie_mae. I just did 1 list as a "Life List" of everything I've identified on our farm. I just used today's date for the current list but will probably use the current date for any new I.D.'s
