I know not even the names of my hoyas, but I get sooooo excited when one blooms. Here are three pictures so maybe someone will recognize the leaf.
February Blooms
Looks to be a possible H carnosa to me ... but I don't know Hoyas very well at all ... so will wait to see what the pro's here have to say. I bet it will be easy for some of y'all to ID.
Hey Mark, it doesn't look anything like the H. acuta I received from you - the leaves are darker and thicker.... I can try and take a better photo of the leaf next week.
Gessie, that looks like a H. carnosa cultivar to me. Beautiful!
Julia
Guess what? I just realized I have 3 giant baskets with the same foliage...........oh well...........I have seen the flowers from the other two baskets and their color was a lot lighter than this (the bloom that is).........thanks for the name on this one.
I know the other two are Pink Silver (or something like that)
I usually just lurk in the hoya forum because I really don't know much about them. I did want to share my first bloom from the cuttings I ordered from David Liddle last spring. This is H. davidcummingii. I was so excited to see it.
My H. carnosa has about 7 blooms open and 3 more on the way so that's exciting too.
Oh, that is so pretty with the yellow and pink combination! Love it. Please post photo's when your carnosa blooms also!
I am a newbie to hoyas and joined in on the D.L. order this spring! I can't wait to get my cuttings and hopefully get them to root and grow for me!
Lin- I ordered with the DL spring too! SO excited!
Gilli - gorgeous H davidcummingii! I have one as well, it keeps forming buds, then blasting them. I don't know if I'm watering too much or not enough. I love the pink/yellow combo as well.

Wishing I'd ordered the davidcummingii now... Really like that one & must be quick to bloom after less than a year?
Thankyou, I was pleasantly surprised when it bloomed so quickly. Now I can't wait until the others bloom. I tried to order a nice variety.
Julia, I have all of my hoyas in self-watering pots and they seem to like it. The soil stays moist but not wet. They're also in a west-facing window. Hopefully you can get some buds to stay on. It's such a let-down when you have high hopes for blooms and they don't cooperate.
Indeed, it is! Well, it's forming buds on a peduncle, so maybe this next time will do the trick. I have mine in the bathroom, in a west-facing window.

WOW! These are all so beautiful! I should check mine to see if there are any signs yet. All these different colors make me want to go shopping! But, I may be moving into a different apartment, maybe even a house - something with better lighting and hopefully a yard, so....... I will wait on the shopping until I get settled. Until then I will just dream of a hoya jungle. btw, my obscura had peach colored blooms last year. ?????
