Mouth wide open when I saw the Magnolia. We had a beautiful day also, got up to 43 degrees.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Same here MyRee, just beautiful 52 degrees and a hard SW wind. Of course it has turn around tonight and dropping back down in the 20's. But, today you could smell the difference in the air today, It's hard to discribe but I could breathe in the renewal of the land almost.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

A little way away from spring, blossoms. :-) Versi Apricot.

Robin, I've received the seeds! Thanks you. I meant to dmail, but spent the entire out in the yard today.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Great, I hope they do good for you, mine haven't done anything yet, I still have my fingers crossed though.

Beautiful Apricot. Spring is coming.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Beautiful shot, was is that?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Well.. I am so tired I can hardly type.. that's an indication of how beautiful today was! I pulled seedlings out of the GH.. they are crooked! I didn't realize they were up against the roof and getting smashed.. LOL I had to take 7 seedlings out.. and strip leaves to try to keep the rest inside for a little while longer..
They seem to withstand a temp change that is cooler better than a change to warmer all of a sudden.. so I'm crossing my fingers that they don't mind too terribly.. cause they just can't go back in..
I hope everyone had a wonderful day today.. I'm so jazzed..

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

I was jazzed too until I heard the forecast for the week, cold, possably snow or ice and high winds again. For the love pete enough is enough.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I'm so sorry Joice, hope the babiez make it through. Robin, that's a Chinese Wisteria. I waited 5 years for it to bloom for me first time last spring. :-)
Kim
p.s. the pink blooms are Saucer Magnolia.

You keep them in pots? How cool is that. I have wisteria seeds I am going to plant now that I know how beautiful it can get.

Brigham City, UT(Zone 5b)

Lilly,

Just beautiful. My magnolia is 2 years in the yard, hasn't bloomed yet. Only 2' tall. waiting........
ZZ, :I wish I was tired in that way, soon I hope.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

That is beautiful Lily! On the water no less! Wowzers! I have some wisteria seedlings here and there, but haven't gotten blooms and I'm no where close.. but that's okay.. I like em anyway. Your's is awesome!

Oh no Robyn.. it's okay.. they will be fine.. they just need to straighten up.. I felt terrible that they were so crunched up and I didn't realize it! I mean, I knew they were packed in.. but I couldn't tell they were getting crooked cause there were so many leaves, you can't see trunks anywere! They will be fine.. you know how we are.. they drop one leaf and I go in a tizzy! LOL
Being so tired is an indication of how warm it was! I stayed out all day and now I'm the one bent over and crooked!!!! LOL It's a good thing. :)

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thank Myree, these hardy perennials they're well worth the wait. :-)

Joice, if you want to hasten your Wisteria to bloom. Neglect it. Keep them drought striken condition most of the growing season. They will respond by putting out blooms. :-) (Once it's established, ofcourse, don't try it when you first plant them.).

I have been looking at catalog's again. There is a blue wisteria that I have fallen in love with. I may have to get me one. My garden is running out of space. OH NO.

and....zone 9, shaking my head. wishing for spring in zone 5b

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

I admit it I have zone envy, Myree and I will be freezing our buns off while you get to have blooms and blossoms everywhere.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

I would love to if I could some someone to come take care of all the animals and get my planting done and take all my shifts at work. haha now that is a big order.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

That is a beautiful site.. on the water.. Oh man.. that looks like heaven to me!

I have such a small place.. I long for my own space.. I don't care what I live in as much as I care about more DIRT. LOL

The grass always looks greener on the other side.. we all have envy for some place else don't we!

The one thing we can all be happy about is DG.. This is the one place we share that is equal to all... a place that we can come and have springtime in our pics and chat and dream of making our own "space" a better place.. :)

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Amen. You said it all.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I don't wanna hijack someone else's thread.. but let's look at some of last years pics!

Drooling on my keyboard!!! Someone please hand me a bib. lol, lol. Beautiful baby sister!!!
Kim

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Man she smelled great too..

Here is my triple white.. THIS is my baby! Almost carefree plant.. a real pleasure to grow... never even realized I had her cause I don't remember EVER spraying her for anything... crazy thing bloomed her head off and still would be, but I had to cut her back so she wouldn't blow over in the bad storm we had a month or so ago..

Thumbnail by ZZsBabiez
Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Forget the bib get me a bucket, I have never seen a triple. She is to die for. I'm going to have to put my contacts in along with my glasses to get a better look at that. WOW. I love it.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Ok, my eyes watering, my mouth salavating, my pulse sped up. Mama me ya!!! I'm going to bed and dream of those double, and trible blooms. lol.

Nite nite everyone. Sweet dreams.

Brigham City, UT(Zone 5b)

ZZ, You said it for us. DG is a wonderful site. I have spent way too much time here the last month. Not getting other things done.
That tripple is just beautiful. I hope you potted the cuttings up.
This is one of my pinks... dreaming of doubles and tripples.
I potted 8 cuttings up yesterday, they all look well today. I have 3 others that are very slow to get roots.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Night MyRee, night Kim, dream a little dream of brugs.

You guys always have such beutiful brugs and so many of them too. I hope mine gets like that one day.

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

I always miss out on the fun☻ What great pics and what a wonderful way to end your evening, chatting and sharing your gardens and lives with flowered friends♥♥wished I had been here.......

Great to se so many good photos. I think that spring is going to happen here much earlier too. We are supposed to have hard frost 24/11 in most of February, but we have up to 11*C day temps and between 3-6*C at night. My brugmansia trees has started to wake up from their winter hibernation. That should first happen around mid Martz.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Did phil fall down on the this year prediction? Just yesterday, magnolia were in buds, but it's threatened to burst open .....here too!

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

About 5 days ago we had many trees open in full bloom - it seems as if it happened overnight. Ahhhh, Spring!

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

predicting ice here starting tomorrow so ourspring will be delayed again. drats.

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

MY saucer magnolia has some small buds on it.. it is a tiny plant.. just bought it last spring at WalMart for under $20.. I was so excited to buy it... I had a dead tree in a spot outside my dining room window that has needed something.

Can't wait to see some blooms.. it actually did bloom one flower in early January! I was very shocked to look out the window and see pink!

Tammie
