Sybil, thanks for the info. DH and I would definitely prefer the Puppy Bowl.

Marlton, NJ

Nice pic GM!
Wish my DH preferred the Puppy Bowl. :-)

Heres the male Downy Woodpecker today.

You can see the dark spots on the outer white tail feathers which along with their smaller size distinguishes them from Hairy Woodpeckers who have the plain white outer tail feathers.

Nice pics adel; glad you had some nice weather!

We had some beautiful weather here today too. The Hawks & Vultures were cruising all over the skies so I thought I might try to work on getting birds in flight today.
LOL, I have to practice alot more! Out of around 100 shots, this was the only one I kept. I think I may have to adjust some settings too.

Heres the Red-tailed Hawk

Pelletory, what a fantastic shot of that Downy Woodpecker. Love it! Gosh, I can almost count his feathers! The characteristics you included are really helpful to this newbie.

Now you know I love that hawk in flight shot, pelle!

Melbourne, FL

Beautiful shots everyone. I especially like the House Finch male and Goldfinch shots. It was around 80 here today, so it sounds funny to me when I hear you all say it is nice when it is in the forties! Have to give credit to all you Northerners who go out in the cold to birdwatch!!!

We had a lovely warm and sunny day. I did spend a few minutes with the tweeters, in between spring garden chores.
