I love the photo Meliss! It is adorable! (and the boots are really to die for!) But even more, what a brillant shed - are you allowed to retire there, do you have a little woodburner in there? both are needed!
Tils - overall, great. Definately need boots now - tennies are not winter wear!
Sartorial Challenge
Pix, I love the photo!
Tills!!! I love the blue fuzzy hat! Awesome choice! The overalls are great. So much better than pink because they will show the dirt less. Plus they look warm. I think I've seen those at Sportco. (and really nice cement green man behind you)
Laurie, glad you love the shed! That's my 'studio'. LOL! It's barely large enough for me to work in, but it's mine so I love it. I do retire to the 'studio' whenever I can, generally in bursts of activity, then don't go in for awhile. Just now I'm working on more leaves for Heidi's place so I'm spending time in there. I have an electric heater that keeps it cozy. The shed has an interesting history. It's older than the house, which was built in 1964 (certainly not old by European standards). The man who bought this house when it was new used the shed to grow pot for his wife, who died of cancer. At least that is the story. I do know that she died of cancer, so we'll give the guy a break and say that's why he grew it. When we moved in, the inside of the shed was completely covered in black plastic to block all light.
Good vibes shed.
If you haven't seen it, try and find a film called 'Saving Grace' - I think this is one of the funniest films I have ever seen - but it relates to your shed! Really worth watching - hmmm, must get a new copy, haven't seen it for a while. I like it so much I keep giving it away to friends and forgetting to get it back.
Tills is now equipped for winter work - let the parties begin.
Oh, that was a great movie! Very funny!
Ohh, someone else has seen it - it was brillant!
Too funny. You'll like Saving Grace, Melissa.
Saving Grace is definately not sad. It is funny.
Should we tell her that there's a lovely greenhouse in it, and that it's about an English gardener with a beautiful garden?
Oh dear, or was it Scottish? I know Craig Ferguson is in it..

Let's tell her.
Melissa,
It is a fantastically funny movie! I loved it! Here is the description on netflix website: Newly widowed Grace (Brenda Blethyn) finds herself in financial ruin when she discovers that her dearly departed husband has left her deep in debt from his failed get-rich-quick schemes. With the help of her gardener, Matt (Craig Ferguson), Grace turns her green thumb to growing ganja, and soon, everyone in her small English town is getting high on more than life. Director Nigel Cole's comedy won the Sundance Film Festival's Audience Award.
How do you not love English comedy? Especially when gardening is involved! It is truly pee your pants funny! Here are few of my other favorites: Mrs. Henderson Presents, Ladies in Lavender, The Last of the Blonde Bombshells, (Judy Dench plays the main character in these) Calendar Girls, Chocolat, Under the Tuscan Sun, Tea with Mussolini and Something to Talk About.
I love it pee your pants funny.
I love British comedy. So much better than American comedy, except for Will Farrell, who is the king. I will find this one and watch it, then report back how many pairs of pants I needed to make it through.
Love Fawlty Towers, Love Black Adder, Love Keeping up Appearances (the absolute best!), Love Rumpole at the Baily, etc. even Mr. Bean. LOVE The OFFICE!! (Even the american version is good, but they simply copied everything about the British version. )
Oh pixy, I think the office is the dumbest show I have ever seen. I don't get it. I guess I have never worked in an office. I did once in college at my dads comapny and after two weeks they kid=cked me out to run errands. I can't sit still and cna be disruptive. Maybe the humor is over my head, I think the funny things are the animal videos on americas funniest videos, Acually at night I'm pretty wasted and don't thing much is funny. Heidi
Oh, well, Heidi, you are completely forgiven for not liking 'the office'. It's a certain brand of humor that is not shared by everyone. My husband works for Boeing and he thinks it's hysterical. It's the tension between the characters, and the characters themselves. The British version is actually better. The main character of the boss is done so well that I am not sure whether to hate him or feel sorry for him, or a little of both. He is so very pathetic. But we actually own all of the dvd's. My whole family loves it.
You're up late.
Me too
