How to save Yucca seeds?

I have been given about 15 huge seed pods and they are not dried. How do I go about saving the seeds?
I, cut one pod open and dug out seeds from purple goop and washed off the seeds and put them on a towel to dry.
Is there a better way to do this?

I pick mine after the pods have cracked open on the plant and the seeds work well.

So, I would suggest placing the pods in a dry place, on some newspaper or something, and letting them dry out.
