In honor of Equilibrium, here's a link to the famous, Attack of the Killer Worms, thread.
Happy birthday, Gloria125
That was the Columbian Mammoth site in Hot Springs SD but we also flew out to Dinosaur Natl Monument. Had a blast. Oopsie on the cup but it gets so darn dusty and dry in there.
Ah ha ha, that thread is never going to die. Snapple just brought up slime molds.
venu209. One time back home we were digging worms to go fishing.
When we found some we put them in a tin and gave them to our baby sister to hold. When we went to collect the worms from her we found she had eaten most of them.
My kids have eaten them and they're none the worse for wear. Does your sister remember eating them or was she too young?
So the animal in the photo is a mammoth?
I don't know if she remembers. She was quite small. Ill have to ask her.
She did survive to grow up to have two children and N many grandchildren. And she is a lot bigger than I am.
And did she like fishing??
It's a male Columbian Mammoth. Very few females fell into the sinkhole. If memory serves me, I believe that site only has one female.
that looks like a pair of human shoes at the bottom of that excavation.
I hope that's not true.
Size 5, more or less.
Might even be crocs. Can't tell from the soles.
mammoth crocs
Crocs have been around a long time too.
It must be the female mammoth! She's wearing mammoth crocks!
I think the question should be, when she goes swimming do the fish like her.
That could also be a really big Willard in dire need of dentistry
You guys are so baaaaaaad. That's a portion of a male. Oddly enough, only half of him has been found. I forgot what they stated they believed happened to his other half but they had some sort of a theory I found interesting at the time.
Gorilla Hugs to you on your birthday Gloria !!!
Great photo, Gloria.
Happy birthday Gloria.
Those silverbacks certainly are magnificent creatures!

Not a rocket scientist, my brother is though. Im just a technical editor, anthropologist, and professional dirt digger -- sometimes known as
archaeologist, now retired.
My baby brother designs satellites for Lockheed Aircraft. Some of them are in orbit now.
Also, I think my baby sister has stopped eating worms.
Gloria - "...just..."? Amazing!
Gloria, You should dig some worms and give them to your sister who could then, now that she isn't eating them anymore, give them to your Brainy Bro to send into space. A family project. Patti
The amazing thing is this thread you started, Pirl.
I want to thank everyone for your interest, your contributions, and for your friendship.
gloria125
Without you there's have been no thread, Gloria!
Well, thank you, Pirl. It was fun.

Let the party continue!
Here we go again!
