Plant Delights Nursery
HaHa, Lavina! This time ya can't 'volunteer' me to do your dirty work, LOL! I know you and Tropicanna were in cahoots from the beginning last year...no use trying to deny it;>
I def. think you should have one...count me in.
Bev
LoL Bev, I am so glad we pulled it off so fast and we had a good time. Thanks again for all the hard work you did.
You can come down here to the coast and just sit back and relax. We have a big wide open space and a big field next door thats cleared and mowed if we need room.
I have a CLEAN grill also.I would not cook anything on the grills at the park.
We are in the process of fixing some rv trailer/camping spaces on the place we bought . So we can throw up some tents and have a camp out .
Lavina
Lavina--look it up online the next time your dial up is blazing with speed--it is the garden of Elizabeth Lawrence who lived in both Raleigh and Charlotte for most of her life. She was a garden writer and columnist for the Charlotte paper--very well-known in garden circles in her day, especially 40s and 50s. She died in the 80's (?) and her Raleigh garden/home no longer exists (urgghhhh--there is a fraternity house on the site now...), but her Charlotte home and garden are still in existence and very much like they were in her day. Not a large, fancy home or garden, but a bungalow and urban sized garden she designed. She did alot of the early research on Southern plants, not in a scientific way, necessarily, but by growing them in her garden, and wrote a number of the first publications specifically geared towards the South and Southern horticulture. She never married, always worked, and was way ahead of her time in many respects.
See the thead under this forum for a link....dates are tentative, we just think it would be fun to go as a group...
