Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - SB Edition

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Ha.....nope, I didn't take out a thing. I was very nice and didn't want Schick's comment to go by unnoticed, so I added the little thing about her most unfavorite undergarment.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

i love the way we, who are all North East of Somewhere, have managed to come from death back to humor again.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Sharon - do you mean you don't like thongs for yourself?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh we are totally cabin-fever, over-the-hill nuts...and loving it!
Actually, I just think it's the circle of life and we are all on the right track!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And circle of death too. Or circus of death.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Have you ever tried a thong Sharran? Just curious....as I always am, so I tried them. Your right...butt floss. Rather go without than were those things ever again.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Now, Pirl....
There are some things that I keep to myself. However I did have my COMPLETE red outfit all ready for the undertaker.

You got it, Pixie! And isn't it fun!

Greensboro, AL

Including the RED lipstick?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh all undertakers here have their own RED Lipstick. I think they buy it by the bulk at the dollar store.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We're not the only nuts.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Hmmmm, have to think about the red lipstick.

and Pixie, you know that Victor and some of the other guys are lurking so I am not sure we should contribute any more to those visions that are floating around in their minds..

Also it was Schick who mentioned the butt floss, remember, not I.....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Whoops! Sorry!! No more visions. Hope it's a nice red suit though. hee hee

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Might learn a lot if we watch that thread....afraid I don't have anything to contribute, though.
Victor, do you deliberately set out to find things like this....or do you just have the uncanny ability to zero in on them?

Edit:

it's a red gown and robe, Pix....and I will be sure to make note of the lipstick, NO RED LIPSTICK.....maybe a nice soft coral, though.

They find me.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Funny Victor, that's what my son says too.

This is my favorite from that thread.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cute! You know men came up with these common names!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

MYfavorite part......

just ordered a couple more pkgs of nipple fruit & yes I will share! :-)

I will make a label for them tonight. I'll try not to get creative and draw a picture... Thank goodness I don't have the Peter Pepper seeds "in stock" too, that would make a perfect set. hee hee

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We used to laugh at work when the 8 inch nipples (plumbing parts) were ordered. We all had dibs.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Is there a full moon tonight?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think it was two days ago. Connection between thongs and full moon??

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

All the ranting and raving and misshapen thoughts.....thought it might be from the force of a full moon

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sounds like every other day to me.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The real PIRL, for whom I named myself, was born and raised in Albemarle, NC. She was never allowed to use the word "bull" - it was a "male cow" instead. She never could call for "service" on her appliances - that's what the male cow did for/to the female cow. So one day she was complimenting me on a plant in our garden and asked the name so I reluctantly told her it was Cockscomb. After much thought she looked at me and with her sweet, soft southern drawl said, "I think I shall call is Coscomb". She was about 92 or 93 at the time. Whenever I see the plant in nurseries I always think of her.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

thoughts of thongs everyday, Victor?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nope...just cabin fever. It's about 80% set in, you might want to wear protective clothing when it reaches 100%. I personally am certifiable.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Funny Pirl. Yes, Sharon.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Some more Tae Bo and Pilates for you, Celeste!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

How cute Pirl! She was a Real Lady.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I hate Pilates!! I like working w/the weights and ball but the tape is slow and boring. If I wanted to meditate I would of gotten a yoga tape.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes, she was Pixie.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Pirl:
Reminds me of both grandmothers, both very southern proper ladies. Women did not sweat while working in their gardens, they "glowed".

And women did not faint, they "wilted".

somehow I already knew that, VG

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Why is it that men who work out, just work out? Same things - aerobic, weights, stretching, etc. Women seem to need new things all the time. Tae Bo, Pilates, spinning, dancercize, etc. Do you guys get bored with just exercise?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes...I'd rather be gardening! I do weights, walking, treadmill all within my gardens and it's wonderful. I feel better after a day of gardening than I do after a workout.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Do you run around deadheading DL's?!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Me, too, Pixie.....which is why I am outta here if it ever gets 40 degrees out there.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

No, my running comes from chasing those MIA rabbits. I may not have to run as much this year.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Deadheading daylilies can start at 6 a.m. and end at 6 p.m.

I have no life.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sharon, have you had much snow?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'd like to see the 30 mark.....maybe next week!
