CLOSED: Can help identify?

Found these at my Tropical Farm (very large wild Garden)
lying on the ground.
they are circular about 1/4" round and 3/4" long
round-shapped and wrapped like a croissant

Interesting, aren't they?, but I don't think they are insect at all, actually. I think each is an opened up seedpod from something like (excuse the East Coast continental US common names) Jewelweed or Balsam Touch Me Nots.

None of the plants you mentioned are near the area where found.
But tomorrow at farm i'll look around!
And if it's not a "bug",
i will be able to inspect closer!

This is the Impatiens genus I'm talking about. It would also have Impatiens- I'm not that familiar with all the pods, but your sample does look just like what I know from Touch me nots.

They are definitely Impatiens seed pods, they pop open to spread the seed once full to bursting, then the pods curl.

Yes I agree they are old fashioned impatiens also known as balsam I used to play with them as a kid now I grow them in my garden for my kids!
