I'm pretty good at propagating but have never try Phlox. Any secret to getting them to root? Would they be incomparsion with salvia's?

Propagating Creeping Phlox
Donna, Felder Rushing suggests stem cuttings from mid-summer through mid-fall. To quote, "Thrift(creeping Phlox) is so easy to root from bits of stem that growing it from seed is a waste of time". He suggests mid-fall may be the best time, but that whole period is a good time.
I am referencing "Passalong Plants" by Steve Bender and Felder Rushing. Good book for southern gardeners. Good luck - it's a piece o' cake.
Thanks peony01
Think I'll can handle that!
Oh - I saw that book at BAM the other day (noticed the title). Good book?
It's worth the price. If you ever get a chance to hear them speak, jump at it. They're a hoot! They both are so knowledgeable, and they don't take gardeners too seriously. You also may wish to consider "Tough Plants for Southern Gardens" by Felder Rushing. "Low Care, No Care, Tried and True Winners"
Thanks penoy, I'll check on it
