I was wondering if any of you have grown Royal Poinciana from seeds and how successful it was.
I have never seen them around here, so I have no choice other then start from seeds.
Thanks
Growing a Royal Poinciana from seeds

Here's the PlantFiles entry for this tree. Several members have grown it it looks like. You might check with them for any additional information that you may need.
I tried them a couple years ago--they germinated really easily with bottom heat, unfortunately I can't remember if I soaked them first or not.
Royal poinciana (Delonix regia) is easy from seed as long as you scratch or nick the hard seedcoat. Just rub the side of the seed on the edge of a file or on sandpaper a bit, then soak them in water. Once they swell, plant them. Any that don't swell overnight should be nicked some more.
